Engine, Transmission, & Performance

All 2021 Forester trim models use a 2.5 flat-four-cylinder engine. The engine produces 182 horsepower and a 176 pound-feet of torque. This power is sent to all the wheels via a CVT (continuously variable transmission) developed by Subaru.  Additionally, the new Forester features intelligent driving modes for smooth and sharper responses on the roads in Pequannock, NJ. In Sport, Touring, and Limited models, the CVT includes a manual mode that simulates a seven-speed automatic through shift paddles. The EPA estimates that the 2.5-liter engine can produce up to 26/33 miles-per-gallon on the city/highway, respectively.

The new 2021 Forester has a spacious and opulent interior. It has excellent outward visibility with a comfortable driving position.  The Touring trim model features colored leather seats and door panels. A textured plastic layered on the rest of the interior surfaces, glossy-black plastic on the stack at the center, the matte-metallic plastic trims, and the chrome add up to the vehicle's interior beauty.  There is no third-row option, but the second row is spacious, and adults in Bloomfield, NJ, will find it comfortable even on long journeys.  The cargo room measures 35.4 cubic feet, enough for ample luggage. However, you can fold the rear seats expanding the space to 76.1 cubic feet.
